Windows server 2008 r2 enterprise X64
HI Gurus,
I am in big trouble and seeking the solution.
My friend has installed a windows server 208 r2 enterprise x64. two days back i uninstalled one software and there was a abrupt power shut down. now my system is not reboting again. nither in normal or safe mode.
some of the actions i did:
1.i downloaded the windows server 2008 r2 and made the bootable drive and tried to repair, the system says that it can not repair as operation system version is mismatching.
2.also i took back up vhd file of operating sysem well before the system crashed , now i am using that backup to restore the system back but system fails to do so and throwing same erorr as OS version is mismatching.
3.now i have downloaded many windows server 2008 r2 with different versions but i am really cant figured out which one is actually required .
4.while booting with bootable dvd , in command prompt i have used command "ver" to know the version..it is showing version 6.1.7600. now my doubt , is that version is of bootable dvd's operating system or of the actual corrupted OS windows server 2008 in system??
i also used mant commands like sfc /scannow , run some files in recovery/bootrec...and all
please suggest me to find out the versions of corrupt windows server.and how to repair my OS...i cant afford to do fresh installation.
thanks in advance.

I'd try to repair but use the same media that was used for original install.
