d$ problem
Hello guys
I have a security issue , i have server 2003 DC and Xp workstations here is the scenerio
user names : user1, user2, administrator
PC names: WS1,WS2,server
user 1 is using WS1 , and user is calling me to install a program, which located on server only administrator can access
without login administrator account on WS1, I go to run type
\\server\d$\programs , windows ask permition and I login as administrator account ( choosedont remember the password ) under user1 account, and I install the program,no problem so far
however next day at same WS and same user name if need to access another pc like WS2\c$ I am able to access without asking permition
I think It saves my administrator account . how can I get rid of this problem. User1 is not supposed to access any pc using by
\\pcname\c$

Hi,
If you open a command prompt and type klist and hit enter, does the user
have a kerberos ticket for your UPN?

Hi,
Please also check the following:
1. Has the session been closed? Please open Computer Management on the server, expand to
System Tools | Shared Folders | Sessions.
2. Is the credential saved in the Windows XP computer? Please run control
userpasswords2 on the workstation, click Advanced tab, click Managed Password to check it. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
