dhcp client no ip
hi,
After migrated my win server 2k8 r2 to another machine, my dhcp seems has problem. it shows nothing wrong in the event viewer but sometimes my clients(not all but few randomly) failed to get ip. most of the cases happened when staff on their computer in
the morning and staff came back from lunch. what went wrong, please help me.

I'd check the event log on the client.

You should also take a look at the DHCP Logs on the server. If the clients were refused a lease, you should see a "NACK" (Negative Acknlowdgement" in the log file for that day.Visit: anITKB.com, an IT Knowledge Base.

I'll do that. I don't use ipv6 in the network but when installing the dhcp role, the ipv6 is install together. how to get rid of it now?

There is no need to remove that from DHCP. You simply will not create any IPv6 scopes. All of your scopes will be created in the IPv4 container.Visit: anITKB.com, an IT Knowledge Base.

Additional, when the issue occurs, could you run "ipconfig /renew" to get IP address on client?

no. it processed long time then show can't get ip and setting.
wait after some time, the pc will get ip issue by dhcp.
