hi, After migrated my win server 2k8 r2 to another machine, my dhcp seems has problem. it shows nothing wrong in the event viewer but sometimes my clients(not all but few randomly) failed to get ip. most of the cases happened when staff on their computer in the morning and staff came back from lunch. what went wrong, please help me. thomas

You should also take a look at the DHCP Logs on the server. If the clients were refused a lease, you should see a "NACK" (Negative Acknlowdgement" in the log file for that day.Visit: anITKB.com, an IT Knowledge Base.

hi, I'll do that. I don't use ipv6 in the network but when installing the dhcp role, the ipv6 is install together. how to get rid of it now? thanks. thomas
