inetinfo.exe service occupies 100% of CPU resources in server 2003
Hi Guys,I have a Dell PowerEdge 2900 Server installed with Windows Server 2003 SP2 Std Edition and Exchange Server 2003 SP2. This server therefore serves as tghe domain controller and mail server for exchange server. Now, it has been a week now I am struggling to sort itn out but no success. It causes the server to stack and and hang all the time, failing to serve other requests like printing and access to files. Is there anything I can do to sort this out please assist.

Hi, Active Directory and Exchange Server are both resource-intensive applications. There are performance implications to be considered when both are running on the same computer. So, it is not recommended to install Exchange Server on a Domain Controller. Refer to: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997407(EXCHG.80).aspx Based on my research, the high CPU usage by inetinfo.exe is more related to an Exchange Server problem. For quick and accurate response to the question, it is recommended you create a new thread in the Exchange Server forum. The support professional there are more familiar with it and can help you in a more efficient way. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/exchangeserver Regards, Bruce
