sidebyside error in error log
Started getting this message a few days ago - what does this mean?Activation context generation failed for "C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft.vc80.mfc_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.762_none_c46a533c8a667ee7\MFC80.DLL". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC,processorArchitecture="amd64",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50608.0" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

This is ona windows 2008 server 64 bit machine. Also happens to be our exchange server. No new downloads or updates have been installed since the beginning of July. This error just started appearring. Still not sure what is causing this to happen. Other ideas?

To fix to resolved the issue:
Download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) (Yes x86 on 64 bit)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=32BC1BEE-A3F9-4C13-9C99-220B62A191EE&displaylang=en
It installed fine shortly after!

Also, not sure what you are trying to tell me to do?!?Have added the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 package in, still getting the side by side error. Do i need to reboot?

HiTake a test machine with that problemand install this: http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/1/1/1116b75a-9ec3-481a-a3c8-1777b5381140/vcredist_x86.exeMicrosoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) or http://download.microsoft.com/download/d/3/4/d342efa6-3266-4157-a2ec-5174867be706/vcredist_x86.exeMicrosoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) Those are x86 packages but run alongside x64 packages.
