I managed to fix the problem by connecting my PC to my modem with an ethernet cable and install the driver from there. Thanks for the help anyway.

So I have an Acer Aspire one netbook and I just upgraded it from Win XP to Win 7 and wireless network connection isn't showing in the connections list.I have everything default so it should connect (it did on XP anyway xD). I can't update any of my drivers either because it can't connect to the internet, so i'm screwed unless you can help me :/ Thanks, me.

What is the exact series of you Acer One? There are at least 2 dozen versions listed on the Acer website. Did you think ahead and download all the Windows 7 drivers and utility software BEFORE you decided to upgrade from XP to Win 7? No one here can help fix your system unless you have ALL the Windows 7 drivers and utility software from Acer for your system! There should be a sticker on the bottom of your system with all the relative information. Usually you have to download the drivers and utility software and then install it manually, but I have no idea if you can connect via ethernet and install them on-line. Then you need to contact Acer and ask them. I have no idea what Acer does on their hardware because I don't have an Acer system. Remember, this is a Microsoft forum, not an Acer forum.
