'Wireless network connection' not displayed in connections list.
I managed to fix the problem by connecting my PC to my modem with an ethernet cable and install the driver from there. Thanks for the help anyway.

So I have an Acer Aspire one netbook and I just upgraded it from Win XP to Win 7 and wireless network connection isn't showing in the connections list.I have everything default so it should connect (it did on XP anyway xD). I can't update any of my drivers either because it can't connect to the internet, so i'm screwed unless you can help me :/ Thanks, me.

What is the exact series of you Acer One? There are at least 2 dozen versions listed on the Acer website. Did you think ahead and download all the Windows 7 drivers and utility software BEFORE you decided to upgrade from XP to Win 7? No one here can help fix your system unless you have ALL the Windows 7 drivers and utility software from Acer for your system! Without the Windows 7 drivers and utility software from Acer you do not have a Windows 7 problem; you have an Acer One hardware problem! Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. There should be a sticker on the bottom of your system with all the relative information. Usually you have to download the drivers and utility software and then install it manually, but I have no idea if you can connect via ethernet and install them on-line. You would have to read your user manual or contact Acer and ask them. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Then you need to contact Acer and ask them. I have no idea what Acer does on their hardware because I don't have an Acer system. Remember, this is a Microsoft forum, not an Acer forum. I know for sure that Dell, HP and ASUS put identification stickers on the bottom of all their portable systems. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Notebooks and netbooks The serial number is a 22-character number, starting with the letter L, located on the bottom of your notebook or netbook. Please note that Acer serial numbers do not include the letter O, it is always the number zero. The serial number can be alternatively retrieved in the Basic Input Output System (BIOS) setup pages, which can be entered by pressing the F2 key when turning the system on. It should be listed under System Information. Please note that older notebooks may have serial numbers that start with 91 and are 20 characters. Locating the Model Number Where can I find the model number of my system? The model number is located on the bottom of the netbook on a label above the serial number. Alternatively, the model number will be located in the Basic Input Output System (BIOS) setup pages, which can be entered by pressing the F2 key when powering on the system. In the BIOS, it will be under the Information tab as Product Name, or use the arrow keys to navigate to Product Information, and press Enter. The product name will be listed in the page that shows. As I said before, you are going to have to contact Acer yourself. I know nothing about Acer products. Have you gone to the Acer website and to see what you can find out? Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
