I recently installed Windows 7 RC, and for a week or so it was working rather well. However, this morning when I tried to load up my desktop, it fails to load Windows and instead I get a blue screen with the "***STOP: 0x0000005c" error message. I restarted several times with the same result. It isn't the motherboard because that loads fine, the error comes when Windows tries to start up. Also, when I thought there was nothing left to do but reinstall Windows 7, I booted from the disk and I GOT THE SAME ERROR! This is depressing... I rad on some other forums that people were getting this same error on HP computers when they tried to install Vista. The difference with me is that I built my desktop, that I am using Windows 7, and that Windows installed fine, now it just won't start up or reinstall. Hopefully someone has a fix for this. Thanks in advance for any help.
