I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x86 on my daughter's ASUS laptop. Worked very well for several months. Last weekend, she could not get to the password login screen. The boot hangs and display flickers. Have tried safe modes same result. Please provide time sennsitive recommendations -- we leave 30 June 2010 for vacation and she wants to take the laptop with. Please boot in Last Known Good configuration. If it does not work, I suspect that there are hardware problems. In this case you’d better contact ASUS support to check hardware issues. Arthur Xie - MSFT
