0x7927f22e Fatal Execution Engine Error
This error msg occurs on boot-up. Not totally sure but this error seems to coincide with some recent MS updates. I can make the message go away without any noticeable effect on my limited usuage (e-mail, web searches, etc), however it's a pain and a matter of concern.

Hi wsingley, · Do you remember making any changes to the computer after which the issue started?· Which updates were installed? Method 1:Check the behavior by booting the computer in clean boot state. You may refer the below link on how to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" state: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353If the issue does not persist you may continue with step 2 from the above link.Make sure you reset the computer to normal mode after the troubleshooting completes. Refer the section “Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state” Method 2: Fatal Execution Engine Error (0x7927f22e) is caused due to corruption in Microsoft .Net Framework.I would suggest you to try repairing Microsoft .Net Framework and if that doesn’t help then, completely uninstall and then manually re-install Microsoft .Net Framework on the computer. Links you may refer to: How to repair an existing installation of the.NET Framework:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306160 When you try to install an update for the .NET Framework 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, or 3.5, you may receive Windows Update error code "0x643" or Windows Installer error code "1603": http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923100 Regards:Samhrutha G S - Microsoft Support.Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.
