0x80070035 WindowsImageBackup Network problem
Hello,
My 320gig harddisk on Dell Vostro 3550 failed and I got a new one. Fortunately I have a WindowsImageBackup on the network on a WD My Book World, but I cannot get to it. (I installed Windows 7 from the reinstallation DVD on the
new harddisk to be able to search for help)
I now start Windows 7 from the reinstallation DVD and go to repair. First problem was 0x800704CF, which I solved by installing DELL network drivers (netsh interface show interface, showed I succeeded)
Next and current problem is 0x80070035. I did not see any IPs after doing an IPCONFIG /ALL, so I assumed I need to set ipv4. I did this:
netsh interface ipv4 set address name="Local Area Connection" source=static address=192.168.0.122 mask=255.255.255.0 gateway=192.168.0.1.
However, I get an error message: filename, directory name, or volume syntax error.
Any suggestions?
(I am contemplating buying an external disk and just copy the image; seems easier)
Thank you!
Trond

I got part of it. I am running norwegian Win7, and for some reason in CMD, leaving most in english, they changed out "Local Area Connection" to norwegian "Lokal tilkobling"
Correct netsh ended up being:netsh interface ipv4 set address name="Lokal tilkobling" source=static address=192.168.0.122 mask=255.255.255.0 gateway=192.168.0.1
Still, I get the error "RPC is not available" (translated from norwegian).
Any ideas?
Thank you,
Trond

And base on my understanding, you want to reimage the system form network backup, but failed to set IP address on your PC. This similar thread you can refer:
