What happened just before you began experiencing this issue? From Troubleshooting Windows Stop Codes0x000000F4: CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION(Click to consult the online MSDN article .) One of the many processes or threads crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated. As a result, the system can no longer function. Specific causes are many, and often best resolved by a careful history of the problem and the circumstances of the error message. One user, who experienced this on return from Standby mode on Win XP SP2, found the cause was that Windows was installed on a slave drive; compareKB 330100 .

Thanks for the reply but I realy don't understand what you are talking about. Is this something that can be fixed by a computer person? How much would it cost/ Should I simply scrap the dell Inspiron 6000 and XP and buy a new machine, maybe an HP?

It most likely CAN be fixed ... if by nothing else, then by a re-install of Windows. Take the computer to a local computer repair shop, not a BigStoreUSA or GeekSquad type of place. Ask the technician to recover your data first. On the other hand, a Dell Inspiron 6000 is a fairly old computer -- it was first released in 2005.I can't do a cost/benefit analysis for you, but if it was adequate for what you typically use a computer for before this recent series of blue screens, it's probably worth getting repaired (or at least getting an estimate of the repair cost). Finally, I'm not sure if I understand your initial question: is the computer working properly now except for not being able to connect wirelessly or are you still experiencing the 0x000000f4 blue screens?
