2013 Office365 Lync cleint for 2008R2 RDP server

Hello, we are just starting a long, phased move to Office365...the first part of that migration is to implement Lync.  To that end we have about 18 licenses of Lync Plan 2 already implemented with the conventional Lync basic 2013 client for windows, but 8 of those users will need regular access to Lync on a 2008R2 RDP server/session.  That server currently has Office 2013 installed, but I need to add Lync and know that the standard client executable is not applicable/will not install.  Can someone please advise on the necessary process to give these subscription users access on the RDP platform.

In order to install Office ProPlus 2013 in the Remote Desktop Services (RDS) mode, you must have a volume licensing agreement.
