I downloaded 8.1 pro from Microsoft, providing a product license key (Key Ref #1255504. beginning HK83N) at download point, and creating installable media on a USB stick for installation on an Intel NUC.Note that the key verified OK at this stage.

NUC boots OK to the setup, but fails to verify the product license key provided.

Did you entered the product key or it was embedded during installation?

What was the error message?

Did you manage to install Windows and it failed for activation or does it failed during installation process?

Microsoft Windows 8.1 media creation tool doesnt require you provide activation keys, if the installation cannot verify your product key, please call for support.

Create installation media for Windows 8.1
