I have somehow managed to install Windows 7 onto a Compaq Evo N610c. For those of us not versed in ancient laptops that means I have 512mb RAM 2.0 ghz Intel processor A 26mb integrated Ati card. The catch? It runs better than my top of the line gaming computer ran Windows XP. ....what the gentle caress people, I know I shouldn't be looking a gift horse in the mouth, but unless techno-jesus himself stepped in and made this possible...how is it possible? By every law in the universe this install should be chugging like a steam engine and this POS laptop should catch fire at any minute. The frightening thing is not only does the laptop have the steam to run the OS, but it also has the steam to run Neverwinter Nights level games.

Those specs arn't that bad. I read about someone installing Windows 7 on a PII with 96MB RAM.As for running better, you're not exactly comparing apples to apples (err, no pun intended)
