I am trying to open files I created some time ago and kept in a folder that was encrypted. I now cannot open any of those files. I can only delete them. I cannot open or copy those files. I tried ciper.exe /d which did not do any thing except it said 0 directorie(s) within 1 directorie(s) were decrypted. I tried other options of opening properties tab and in general tab selected advanced button and unclicked encryption option, but no luck I still get the access denied message. I do not understand what is happening. BTW this is Windows XP professional system. I wish someone kindly help me.
