Accessing another's PC desktop - from RUN
With XP I would normally access another computers desktop in the network by Run \\IP Address or PC name\c$But with Windows 7 it doesnt let me access another windows 7 machine (I have not tried to access an XP machine). Is there any way to enable this? Ive tried to turn on Mapper and Responder under Link-Layer Topology Discovery but that didnt help.

By default, this function is not disabled in Windows 7, so it should be a network connection issue.
Please help collect a screenshot of the error when trying to access the other computer with \\computername and \\IPaddress. The error is important for troubleshooting.
Meanwhile, please check if both computers are in a same workgroup, also try to share a folder to Everyone but not to specific user account in the target computer and test if we can access it.
In addition, try disable UAC (User Account Controller) in target computer and see the result.

It's under a Domain, and they are both in the same Subnet... I'll be able to provide more information tomorrow when i go back in to work. I'll try Disabling the UAC tomorrow as well and let you know.

I was unable to gather some screenshots today... Like i stated previously its under a domain and it was blocked in XP. It might just be UAC, but even that is strange.

It seems that you are trying to share the drive C to the client computer. Please test to share it to Everyone in guest computer.Meanwhile, share a folder on guest computer and share it to Everyone. Then use type \\computername instead of \\computername\c$ to test if the folder will be displayed.
