Accidental Sysprep on a Win7 box
I am in a panic, and hoping someone here can help. The answer may be out there, but I am beyond stressed at this point.
I was showing someone where Sysprep was located, and what it looked like when ran on my production machine. I of course meant to cancel what I had done, but I didn't, and I accidentally Syspreped my machine. Of course, now when it starts it is configured for
a first use. How can I undo/fix this?
Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

There is an outdated article that dates back to 2007
HOW TO: Disable the Mini-Setup Wizard on a Windows XP-Based Computer on Which You Used Sysprep. This is labeled for XP but is similar to Win7.
Then there's How to Disable Mini-Setup Wizard on a Computer on Which You Used Sysprep. This, too, is labeled for XP, but I use this method
alot more often. By the sounds of your post, it sounds like you are at the MINISETUP phase where sysprep has completed and the OS is asking what username and pcname you want to assign the OS. You will need to create a bootable WinPE key that will boot
into Pre Installation environment to be able to make any changes to the current registry.
By all means, if you have a system restore enabled you can just restore to a point or two ago. Depending on how your settings are configured. If they aren't configured... I highly recommend looking into setting up a restore process in the event this happens
again. You can access System Restore by navigating to Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> System Restore.
Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.

The final result for my case was to just go through the setup wizard. I did however try a couple of different suggested solutions on a VM first. Thank you for your suggestion, however it does not work for Windows 7, and yes, system restore would
have been an easy option.
