Accidently revoked digital certificate, how to allow it?
I accidently revoked the digital certificate for (of all companies) Microsoft, so I am no longer able to run Microsoft apps as an admin user. This is a major problem as I'm an ASP.NET developer, so I often need to run VS 2008 as an admin. When ever I try to launch it as an administrator I get this error:"This program has been blocked""Your administrator has set a policy to block this program"I can't work out how to un-revoke the digital certificate though. I can get around the problem by turning off UAC, but that's not really a good solution.Anyone know how to fix this mistake?

Hi Slace, before we go further, I would appreciate your help to clarify the following points: 1. Did you revoke the certificate from client computer or server computer? 2. Did you revoke the certificate via trust root? Every CA server (such Microsoft Certification Authority Server) manages a Certificate Revocation List (CRL). If you perform the steps from the server computer, we can restore them from the server. If you revoke the certificate via trust root, you can also restore them from another computer. If neither, the only way to restore the certificate is performing a System Restore.

It's only a problem with my login with my domain account. If I log in as the local admin then I have no problems, or if I use another domain account they don't have problems, so I guess the issue is just a client one.

Hi Slace, thanks for the update. We can first try a System Restore on the computer. If the issue is a client side related, it should be resolved after performing a System Restore. However, based on your description, I consider this issue can also be server side related. Therefore, please let me know the way you revoked the digital certificate, did you revoke the certificate on client computer? Thank you for your time.
