Activate multiple audio outputs, both digital SPDIF Optical and analogue
I am trying to get multiple outputs on win7 to work simultaneously?
(I have several *options: multiple soundboards, or just one sound board with multiple outputs)
Computer with win7, and multiple amplifiers I wish to work simultaneously from seperate outputs.
I can't enable either *options
I just can't justify why I can't set multiple outputs active simultaneously...
my need is simple ;)
one audio source, either stereo or surround with multiple channels
two digital amplifiers
one DAC
Yes, I can split from one->two digital Computer output (Coax Spdif or Optical) but that causes jitter, and if I connect a third cable (on a second splitter) everything dies. It distorts the digital output to much.
If I could activate both the SPDIF and Optical digital output, I could connect each Digital amp to either output, and if the analogue output could be activated simultaneously, I wouldn't need the DAC...
Extremely frustrated...

absolutly not, sorry to say...
as this allows one software to send sound to one output, and another software to another output.
I need one software to send default sound to all outputs
It should be a simple software fix og 3rd. party override to enable multiple sound outputs simultaneously

I know this worked in XP and MediaCenter, and I KNOW IT WORKS with some fiddeling arround with OSX. I'm beginning to really miss my roots.
When is MS going to stop making everything soo damn user friendly, and give us a GEEK version !!!
let everyone whom doesn't know how to setup stuff have a user friendly setup. Give me and the rest of Geek community a hard core windows back to the roots!

Hi Customer,
Based on my knowledge, it is not supported on Windows 7 to allow multiple audio outputs simultaneously. There are two workarounds:
1. Install Windows XP which support multiple audio outputs simultaneously
2. Create one Virtual Audio Cable
1) Create one virtual audio cable. Is already created after install, it is called "Virtual Cable 1".
2) Run "Audio Repeater (KS)" from Start menu.
3) In the Wave In combo select "Virtual Cable 1".
4) In the Wave Out combo select "Audio Speaker" (depends on computer).
5) Click Start
6) Run SECOND "Audio Repeater (KS) from Start menu.
7) In the Wave In combo select "Virtual Cable 1".
8) In the Wave Out combo select "Audio SPDIF Out" (depends on computer).
9) Click Start
10) Run Windows Media Player, go to menu Tools, Options, Devices, double click Speakers, select Virtual Audio Cable, click OK.
11) Play audio in the player
