ActiveX giving me problems
Hi all and thank you very much for your help. Win 7 Prof, 32-bit with most recent updates. I have an upgrade on one of my programs to run, but this error message is blocking me: One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either: 1) Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or 2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the control. As a result, the page might not display correctly. I git the advice to go to Control Panel, Admin Tools, Services but when clicking on services, the same error pops up. What can I do to fix this? I honestly don't want to format my HDD if not really necessary. Regards, Deon

Hi deonholt, Seems to me that required ActiveX control is disabled and need to be enabled manually. To enable/disable ActiveX in Internet Explorer please follow this guide: http://www.ehow.com/how_6202033_enable-activex-internet-explorer-8.html If that didn't work then try to reset IE settings following this fix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 Then try running the webpage in Compatibility ViewRegards, Enamul Is this helpful?
