I am somewhat confused about creating an ad hoc nework for the purpose of sharing a few files and in internet connection with another compyer in a hotel room. I see how to create the ad hoc network, however when I connect to the hotel wireless network how to I pass or bind that connection to my af hoc network? I appreciate any advice on this. Do I need to be connected to the hotel network via a wired ethernet connection?Rob

Hi, The safest way would be to use the hotel network and email each other, if you activate ad hoc. It could allow unwanted users logging on to your laptop. Slan go foill, Paul

Hi Rob, Do you mean that you want to connect to a wireless network and build an ad-hoc network simultaneously? If so, as I know, at least two wireless NICs are needed in this situation, one is for wireless network and another is for ad-hoc. If you connect to the hotel network with a network cable and user the wireless NIC to establish the ad-hoc connection, this is also OK. For more information about Ad-hoc, please also refer to.
