This message has just started showing out of the blue. It comes up as soon as windows loads. It is not and never has been a corporate machine, hence I am the administrator.It has blocked my external hard drive back up, and now won't even let me read a memory stick. In that case, I get "Administrator has prohibited access to USB/1394 mass storage devices". I have searched through everything and all appears ok. I have run several virus checks and spyware checks, but all come up clean.Hopefully someone can help me. Thanks. 1 person got this answerI do too

Thank you very much 'graecille'. Same problem hit me out of the blue (Jan1 2011). Your answer perfect and simple to apply. I notice that the affected devices still show in 'My Computer' as blocked, but that's no big deal. Well done, and thanks again.
