I installed 2 windows update on 26 Aug using windows update in my windows 7 copy . When i restarted the system it kept showing the message "Configuring Windows " for 30-40 min ... Then i restarted it in safe mode and got a message sayin that " windows update could not be configured and reverting changes" . After this I tried to start in normal mode but after booting up just a blank page appears . The system starts in safe mode but not in normal mode.

Try a system restore or repair using the Windows Recovery Environment.
