After installing RSAT for Windows 7 SP1 the Hyper-V Snap-on is missing
After installing RSAT (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=7d2f6ad7-656b-4313-a005-4e344e43997d)
on Windows 7 Professional (x32) with SP1. When I open MMC the Hyper-V Snap-in is missing from the list.
How can I get it back to manage my Server 2008 R2 Hyper-v Core?

Hi,
Make sure Hyper-v tool is enabled in Turn Windows features on or off.
If not, selecting the RSAT features that you want to enable.
Also let me know
which way did you install the RSAT? Did you follow the instruction on the following site?
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=7d2f6ad7-656b-4313-a005-4e344e43997d
If not, I suggest reinstalling RSAT.

Yes to both. I did enable RSAT in Turn Windows features on or off
(it was all or none); and I followed the instructions found on TechNet.
As you can see Hyper-V is missing from the list of Snap-ins. I also tried re-installing RSAT; same result.
I had a picture, but it did not upload. (ken on edit)

Hi Ken,
Let me know if the snap-in appears when the RSAT was removed.
You could try SFC and create a new user account to check the result.
System File Checker

Also, you could upload the screenshot to
SkyDrive.

Is it just me? Has anyone else installed
Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 (SP1)
(Windows6.1-KB958830-x86-RefreshPkg.msu)
;
if so please open MMC and see if the Hyper-V Snap-in is listed as an option. Hyper-V Snap-in was available before I installed SP1 (Windows 7); now it is missing. Is this a problem with RSAT or my system?Ken Mullins
