Hello Team, I am facing a very strange issue with windows xp service pack 3. Every Saturday evening, some of the icons and all files from the desktop are getting deleted whereas all the folders are intact.It had happened with me twice. These files/icons are also gone from "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop". I tried to restore the system to previous date but that was also not a help. I tried to search the missing files and folders but unable to find those files.Any help / pointers would be really appreciated.Thanking youVishnu Kumar

Hi VishnuKumar7, System restore does not restore data on the computer. It only restores the settings and programs on the computer. ·Are files of particular application or program getting deleted?·Have you scheduled disk cleanup?·Do you have any security software on the computer? Run online virus scan and check if any malware or virus activity found on the computer.
