Allow standard users to change network connection properties
Hi, We have a 2003 domain environment and are implementing corporate wide image of Windows 7. One of the problems we are facing is to allow a standard user to change network properties, disable/enable connections. We have UAC enabled and disabling it is not an option. In XP putting the user in network configuration operators group allowed this, but in Windows 7 it's not working. Can you please provide some solution.

Hi, Based on my test, standard user within “Network Configuration Operators” group can change network connection properties. Please disable all UAC policy in Group Policy Editor: Local Computer Policy\Computer Configuration\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options In addition, you can re-create another user for test. If the issue persists, please check if any GPO have set on your domain server. Hope it helps.
