An error occurred while troubleshooting, 0x8007017
I am experiencing a problem with my wireless networking on my Windows 7 computer. The computer does not recognize wireless signals. When I attempt to troubleshoot the problem, I receive the following error:
An error occurred while troubleshooting:
A problem is preventing the troubleshooter from starting.
Package ID: Unknown
Path: C:\Windows\Diagnostics\system\networking
Error Code:0x80070017
Source: Engine
User: PC
Context: Restricted
All drivers are up to date. When the PC is plugged into a wired network, no connection errors occur, but attempting to run the troubleshooter causes Windows Explorer to crash and reset itself. Running Startup Repair did not fix the issue.
Thanks!

1. 0x80070017 is very often bound to bad installation medium. try to use different installation medium.
2. Are there any traces in Event logs?

Hi,
The wireless signal also can be affected the wireless route. Can the computer access other wireless signals?
Although all the drivers are up to date, I still suggest updating the latest wireless network adapter driver from manufacturer's website. Meanwhile, you can re-configure the wireless settings from the route.
