An odd network problem - Please help!
I have a rather strange network problem that I wish to solve, but can't find an answer to. I have a Vista Home Premium laptop with wireless and wish to connect to my home network, which I was able to do up to about 3 days ago. However, now when my computer starts the networking status icon is always "Not Connected", even though I am obviously connected as I can access the internet, MSN Messenger etc. But I cannot access any of the other computers on my network or my networked printer, both of which worked fine until the problem started. If I go to Network and Sharing Center, it still says "Not Connected. Wireless networks are available". I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting to my router, but while I can access the internet, again it maintains that no networks are connected. I do not know what has caused this problem, and I attempted two system restores back to when I guessed the problem began, but both failed because of an "unspecified error". I think the problem started just before the Windows Updates on 17 April 2008. If anyone knows the cause of this problem or a solution, please tell me as I would like to get it fixed as soon as possible.
