This year ends support for Forefront Protection for Exchange 2010 / SharePoint 2010.

What alternatives are there in the markert ? Any recomendation ?

You must have seen the blog - "Important Changes to Forefront Product Roadmaps".

It recommends replace Forefront Protection for Exchange with Exchange Online Protection.

For collaboration protection, SharePoint and Lync Servers will continue to offer the built-in security capabilities that many customers use to protect shared documents.

We have Exchange 2010 & Lync 2010 on premise environment.

We have EOP but with EOP you can't scan mailboxes.

Actually, Forefront for SharePoint scan documents that users download/upload. How do we scan these actions without Forefront ??

If these cannot meet your reqirements, you may need to find some third-party softwares.
