Apple Messed up my Sony Laptop - Windows XP Administrator issue
Background:Apple gave my 14 year old some advice on a "fix" for her ipod, which created more problems than it solved on our labtop.Issue:They had her create another user account in windows XP, original and only user account was the Administrator, when she added a new one it dissappeared. Now I opened in safe mode, but could not delete the new one as it was marked admin, but so is the admin account, which it seemed to not recognize as it is a super account? I have sence learned the original administrator account is a super account?, what I can not figure out is either:A. How to get the info from the super account into the new account (all I need is the ipod, itunes stuff) our labtop is bare of data for the most partorB. How to delete the oliva account and have apple be aware this time the administrator is a super account and to take note of that in their process for a fix.orC. Unknown solution to get super account hidden, create a new account and have the data in the administrator account in the new account.I tried a search myself but am coming up empty....Thank you.

Copy data from the My documents directoryC:\Documents and settings\users names here\My documents\My Music\iTunes/Ipod stuff here.... Then go back 3 directories and select the user name of the account you want this data to goto or select "All Users" and it will share with ANY new user or existing users that use the PC.This might be a good time to backup your music to an external hard drive just to make sure it's backed up!!!How to Hide the Administrator account and work on user accounts - Advanced optionsOpen your command line, Click Start> Run> type "CMD.EXE" and hit enter. With a new administrator account, you must run the command "net user administrator /disable" in order to disable the account from use. It will no longer appear as a login option and it will only be available for login via safe mode.
