Archiving notification/disclaimer messages

Is there a way, natively, with Lync 2010, to insert an archiving disclaimer notification on the IM client for purposes of legal disclaimers/compliance agreements, etc?

(i.e. When a user opens their Instant Messenger client, a message is generated to the user with content regarding the companies legal disclaimers/compliance agreements for proper use of this service.)

I know this could be accomplished using a Group Policy setting in OC, however that was limited to a certain character length.(regkey)

thanks

Do you know if this message is generated to recipients of the instant message as well?

Confused?  GPO are no longer used with Lync client.  Client policies managed through powershell are now used for in-band provisioning.  Here is a good article to explain:

Greetings

Our legal disclaimer for IM works correctly on Windows 7, but does not work on Macs.

Any insights?

Thank you

Hi,

do you know how you can make this apply to receiving end users as well?  disclaimer only shows in the senders side, not in the receiving end.  "example, you can grant-csuser to the user you specify and they will only see the disclaimer" any suggestions?

if you've found out the answer to this, please provide?  only user sending can see the "im warning" disclaimer and not the receiving end.
