From the usual 'Welcome' screen, I click on the icon for my user account as I always have done in the past; now, it goes, like normal, through the sequence where it says 'Loading your personal settings' and after a few seconds, the typical desktop screen appears, if only for 1/2 a second, and then the blue welcome screen re-appears with the user icon again, this time showing 'Logging off....' and then 'Saving your settings...'
