Auto-Sync all the address book contacts

Hi Team,

I have nearly 100 lync users in my network.
To configure Lync for a new user i need to enter all the lync contacts one by one.
Is there any easy way to get all the contacts auto synchronised for a new user?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Arun.

The easiest method would be to create a distribution list that includes all users, then add that: https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/Find-and-Add-a-Distribution-Group-to-Your-Contact-List-27c565ad-e94d-446f-85ac-8481f2152062

As you update the distribution list, it will updated in everyone's clients, not just new users.

You can also look into scripts like this: https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Bulk-Import-Contacts-for-8e3c614f

Do you really need to add all Lync contacts to a user's account?

If your address book is working fine, your users should just be able to search the people whom they want to communicate with.

When a user logs in to their Lync client, Lync tries to subscribe to the presence of all users in the contact list. So when one of your users logs in, they will be sending at least 100 subscribe requests to the server. Its a far fetched thought, but imagine the situation if all your users login around the same time at the start of the day.
