Are you using an english version of Windows XP? Is the error message exactly as you posted, "??? program not found in autochk"? And what exactly do you mean by "When windows starts, this folder just opens up", what folder? You should only be receiving an Autochk error message before Windows is booted, if folders are opening after you receive the error message and after Windows is booted then you have other problems, I suspect that you have a virus or other malware infection. After Windows is booted open a Command Prompt and issue the following command then reboot the computer:chkntfs /dAfter you reboot the machine run virus/malware scans on your machine, you can start with the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool (MRT): http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.aspx then you should run these:http://www.malwarebytes.org/http://www.superantispyware.com/ John

Acronis has long tentacles and it sometimes doesn't properly uninstall and it can leave the computer in a complete mess! Look in the Event Log to see if you have any errors recorded for Acronis services. Try using the Acronis Cleanup Utility and see if things improve, I'm not sure which Acronis product you were using if it was Acronis 10 try here:http://kb.acronis.com/content/6177If not search the Acronis site: http://kb.acronis.com/search/apachesolr_search/Acronis%20Clean%20Up%20UtilityJohn
