BUG: Yellow context highlights in search results not always working
The search features in W7 are great. However, I've noticed that some of the entries in the search results column don't have a yellow highlight showing the searched-for word in its context. It seems to work on about two thirds of the entries; the other third show the text from the beginning of the document, rather than where the searched-for word is, and of course nothing is highlighted.Below is an example: the search word is "pendulum" and the entries marked with red arrows have no highlights. I can confirm that "pendulum" does indeed appear in these documents, so the search results are correct. Only the highlighting function isn't working. Can anyone else confirm?Thack

This same thing sometimes happens with Google searches. You will sometimes get items that don't appear to contain any of your search terms. I think these search algorithms are doing things like looking at all of the results it finds and then adding in other strongly related pages.

I'm sure you're right about Google. However, I've checked, and the documents shown with red arrows definitely do contain the word "pendulum", it just that it isn't shown (or highlighted) in the snippet.
