I have a lab computer that needs to have the screen saver come on when 'x' amount of time goes by. The end users says that when the screen saver comes on it stops the running process of the program. To be more specific SAS or SPSS is running data sets and the screen saver stops the program. Is this possible? I thought the computer would run background tasks when the screen saver comes on? Also, we have it where the screen saver needs a password for security reasons, so the end user has to enter the password to get pass the screen saver.
