I used XP backup to create a backup file of C on my D drive. I then restored (using XP restore) hoping it would defrag the files, but it didn't. I then did a factory reinstate with my Sony disk and restored again in the same way. It hasn't actually restored the system, all sorts of things are now inaccessible, eg Microsoft Office & McAfee! The files are there but I can't open the programs. Is there anyone who can help please?
