Backup Utility how to change...
Once a Backup Utility 'backup' is created and run can I edit that backup to run in the future with different settings to either remove or add items? Also regarding that same backup, can I and how do I change the type (normal, copy, differential, incremental daily) to a different type other than the one it was orignally set up with for the future. Here is what I want to do:I created a backup using the Windows XP Backup Utility by selecting specific folders and files. It ran on the scheduled time and the backup is now on an external drive. Can I know go into the settings and change them to add or remove items in future backups without starting from scratch and selecting folders and files one by one. It was setup as a 'normal' backup, can I also go in and change the type of backup too? BTW, is there a 'better' way that I should look into in backing up items. Thank You.1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi TRV TRV, You may uncheck the “Always start in wizard mode” box by following the steps:a. Click Startb. Click All Programsc. Click Accessoriesd. Click System Toolse. Click Backupf. Uncheck the Always start in wizard mode boxg. Click Nexth. Click Canceli. Click Startj. Click All Programsk. Click Accessoriesl. Click System Toolsm. Click Backup This will open the Backup Utility which will allow you to manually change/configure your backup settings. Most of the information can be found under the tabs that are displayed, but Tools > Options also holds many of the configuration settings. Hope this information is helpful.Praseetha KMicrosoft Answers Support EngineerVisit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think. If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message.
