Backup and restore error 0x8100002F
I can't get backup and restore to finish because of the above listed error, windows says that some files can't be found. I looked at some other threads and could not do what the suggestion listed; I can't branch out the users and see what libraries are attached etc. Some simple answers for a not so tech savy guy would be nice; had this same problem with Vista and am really sorry I stuck with microsoft only to get the same problems all over again.

Hello,Error 0x8100002F is just an information about unsucessfull backing up of the library files and the download files that you have moved from the C drive to some other location. If you want to remove the error, then you simply need to restore them to their original locations. It will perfectly. There is an alternative as described in following steps In the Troubleshoot dialog box, select the option CHANGE BACKUP SETTINGS. The user nodes need to be expanded whose libraries are being skipped. The "problem-creating libraries" needs to be deselected. The folder's location need to selected where it will be redirected. This has to be done in the tree view, which is in the expanded computer node. Now, click on SAVE, thus saving the settings. regards from www.windowsadmin.infoManuPhilip
