Belkin F9K1106 Dual-Band no internet connection.
Whether it was a good idea or not, I recently purchased a Belkin F9K1106 Dual-Band Extender, and am having no luck with connectivity. I can connect, and it appears that my printer is working over the network....but I have no internet connection. My modem, laptop, and range extender are all within 20' of one another, so I dare to say that nothing is "out of maximum range." I've exhausted the internet forum searches, and am still unable to figure this out. I sat on the phone with Belkin for 3 hours, ha. Have changed about every setting I know of, and am at my wits' end...actually past it a few hours ago. Any ideas?-Other than seeing how far I can throw this thing? I am all ears, and will answer any questions that may help to resolve this issue. Thanks for the time. Details, if helpful: Windows 7. ISP is Comcast. Router/Modem model SMCD3GNV. Dual-Band Belkin Wireless Range Extender model F9K1106. Hi, Firstly, please check the following: 1. Is it a home network or small business network? And how many computers are on this network? 2. Do all the computers fail to connect to Internet? 3. Based on the command line results, I notice that you can ping Yahoo.com successfully and it turns out to be that you can connect to Internet. How do you consider that you have no Internet connection? Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following 1. Please see if you can access Internet if you connect to the router via cable. If it works this time, please run ipconfig command and compare the output with the information you posted here. 2. Please double check your router and the extender settings. In addition, please let us know how your computers connect to Belkin F9K1106 and your Modem. Please provide us the detailed Topology. Thanks. Jeremy Wu TechNet Community Support
