Bitlocker To Go will not allow me to open
I encrypted my USB with Bitlocker To Go on a Windows 7 box today, went through all of the steps, was told my F: Drive had finished encrypting, but now my USB will not open. It will not show a Password Login screen...nothing. It simply looks like an unavailable drive. The typical 'padlock' driver icon is not there. When I click on it, it says to insert a disk into that drive. When I check the properties of the drive, it shows it as empty. When I tried to reformat the drive so that I could copy my backup to it, it would not let me. Has anyone seen this problem before? If so, do you have a solution?

If you want to format it again, you'll have to use the diskpart clean command. Take great care using that command because it's a wipe. If you run this command on the wrong drive, it will be wiped clean. After the wipe you'll need to create a partition and format for it to be usable again. As far as your main question goes, I don't have any knowledge there. If it were me, since the operation failed, it might be best to start over.
