Bitlocker could not be enabled (after first reboot enabling bitlocker)
Hi! Vista Ultimate ENU, SP1. I'm getting the following error when enabling bitlocker and rebooting: "Bitlocker Could not be enabled" "The system firmware failed to enable clearing of the system memory on reboot. No encryption applied, any changes madeto C: during bitlocker setup will be removed." Is thisrelated to the hardware or is thereaway to get around this? I have no TPM chip and have enabled to use only USB-key in GP. Regards, Alexander

Hi, It seems the BIOS does not be provide the functionality to delete the overall content. We recommend Update your main BIOS to the latest version and if that does not help, contact your system/mainboard manufacturer and ask them to implement the"memory clearing on reboot"-feature.Hope this helps.

Contact your hardware manufacture and ask if your hardware is compatible with Vista, or if they have a BIOS upgrade available.

Hi! Thank you for your replies. I have actually gottenthis to work now. The only thing I did was to switch the USB memory from the front to the back of the PC... And now it's working.. Regarding if the computer is compatible with Vista, it arrived with Vista (but Home Premium). Regards, Alexander
