Black Screen - No Start Bar - No Icons
First I have read someone comments about issues regarding missing Start Bar issue however this one seems to be a little more challenging. I have been using Window 7 RC for approximately 6 weeks and everything was working (generally speaking very good). However, yesterday upon power-up I log on as usually and after the login I have a black screen, period.... No Start Bar, No desktop icons, No Sidebar, just a black screen. Mouse right click does nothing, Ctrl Alt and Delete brings up Task Manager and from there I can run all programs without problems. This issue occur both in the Admin Account and the Guest Account. I can open the sidebar and then see the Icons however on a re-start I'm back to the black screen same issues. I have done another install of Windows 7 RC yesterday and again the same issues occur. I have completely Virus checked and Malware checking the machine prior to yesterday's install and found nothing abnormal. Whereas I have two montiors I 've checked out whether it maybe defaulted to the 2nd - Not - Re installed the Windows Graphic Drivers as well. I also tried system Restore before I re-installed windows 7 same result with the black screen. Any ideas would be appreciated. HELP

I also get a black screen, but this happens always since the second startup. Only thing I can see is the Mouse, Ctr+Alt+Del seems to work (mouse is busy) but I cant see the task manager. The only way to see anything is a remote login. If I then login on the actual windows 7 machine (without loging off remotely) visual is back. However, this seems to be a bit random, as once it worked also after loging out remotely, but usually only if I dont log out. My Version is Windows 7 RC build 7100 (just installed it yesterday) 64 Bit . Single monitor if that matters.

Could be that Windows think you have a dual screen installation and shows you the secondary screen - without taskbar and desktop icons. What happens when you press Win + p to start the Windows projector ?Can you then switch to "Computer only" or "Duplicate" ?
