Boot up problems
Hello,My problem is two-fold. First I was having a problem with my searches being redirected in both Mozalla and Explorer. I figured it was some sort of spyware and tried to remove it with adaware, and then windows defender. That did not work. I then got the idea to run these programs in the safe mode. However, my computer would not start in the save mode. It is an hp dv4000. I pressed f8 while it was booting and got to the screen where the save mode was located, however when I selected safe mode the computer would just go back to that screen. None of the selections would work other than start the computer in the regular mode. I decided to try to get to the safe mode another way. I started the computer and went to mscofig and set the computer to start in safe mode. That apparently was a big mistake. Now the computer will not boot. I will only attempt to start in safe mode which will not boot. It keeps going back to the same screen. How do I turn off the feature I set in mscofig and how do I get the safe mode to work?1 person needs an answerI do too
