Boots up properly only after logging off
I have a laptop running Windows XP and it will only boot properly after I've logged off. If I try to restart or shut down within my user, it will not comletely boot up afterwards. It will show my desktop background and icons, but it won't actually work. I will inevitably have force it to shut down again by holding the power button, however then I have to go through the chkdsk.Help me please,Rob1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi, Are you able to access Safe Mode to perform some tests? (You can access Safe Mode by tapping F8 as the PC boots up before it displays the Windows XP loading screen). From there you can do a virus / malware scan, check event logs, check for any hardware issues, check for any user account issues and check startup programs. Let me know
