Broadcom-Network-Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN keeps disappearing after using Kapersky Anti-Spyware
We tried Kapersky Anti-Spyware and about a week later started having wireless connection problems with the laptop. Broadcom-Network-Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN disappeared from Device Manager. When I ran F10 System Diagnostics the wireless adaptor would work again after reboot and then disappear from Device Manager upon next reboot. Then we decided to put Norton back on and Broadcom-Network-Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN was back after several reboots and has now disappeared again. Neither Kapersky or Norton have located a virus, malware, etc. Then I saw the upgrade for Broadcom-Network-Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN listed in Windows Update but when I tried to update it did not. Now I cannot find it anywhere on MS Downloads, etc. Please advise.1 person needs an answerI do too

HiMay be the first step is to clean out the 3rd party suits and start from scratch.Whatever drivers you have for XP SP3 should be O because it worked before. Your Wireless card and Win XP are not new, they are rather stable and probably woulds not makes a difference to look for new drivers. If getting rid of the "Suits" helped (check carefully some of the suits might have residual runing processes even after Uninstall).Download this instead, http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/***Removing Kaspersky, http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208279463Removing other suits, http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=5233-------------------Wireless in general. My Wireless does not work - http://www.ezlan.net/wireless.htmlWireless Basic Configuration - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Config.htmlWireless Security - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Security.htmlJack-MVP Windows Networking.
