Browsing fine, some programs won't communicate over internet outside of wired domain.
My problem: I can connect and browse the internet with no issue. Some programs, such as WinSCP, will not connect when I am not connected to the domain via a LAN. I do log into the domain upon Windows startup which allows me to connect to our Exchange Server. I am able to use these programs when connected via wire to our LAN (I will have to confirm, but I believe these programs work even if I'm not logged into the domain via wire on our LAN).Was this always this way you ask? Not to the best of my knowledge. This problem seemed to occur when I was traveling and attempted to log in from my hotel room. Problems seemed to begin when prompted by windows to identify the network I was attempting to connect from. What I've done: I have checked my windows firewall and the programs allowed to pass through the firewall. All the programs I am having issues with are listed (I've added them) and I've created rules, both inbound and outbound, for these programs. I have also tried a system restore to a date previous to my travels and when my issues began. Hardware: Dell Lattitude E5500 with Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit controller.Software: Windows 7 32 bit with Windows Small Business ServerI would appreciate any assistance/guidance that anyone could offer. I am sure this is some simple setting that I've missed or is unknown to me (which either is likely as I'm an average user, not a power-techno-guru).

Hi, To make this issue clear, may I know the following? 1. Where does the WinScp connect to, a server in your domain? 2. When you are not connected to the domain via a LAN, which kind of connection are you using? 3. When you are out of the domain, how can you access the resources in your domain, via VPN? At this time, please also try the following: 1. When you are out of the domain, please check if you can access the server which WinScp connects to. 2. Considering this issue is related to WinScp, please also contact WinScp Support for help: WinScp Support Note: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support. it sounds like you choose a private network when out of town, the wise thing to do, now you want tochange it back to home / work.In the Advanced sharing settings page of Network and sharing center, you need to have it set as Work/Home profile.
