Built-In Outlook Mail Tool

I avoided Windows 8 as long as I could but finally had to cave in when I recently bought a new PC. For the most part, I like

Windows 8 but I have run into a problem that I cannot find any information about.

The builtin Outlook Mail Tool, has a panel on the right side of the screen. That panel, under folders captures the names

of people I have correspond with. I dont want those names to show but, so far, have not been able to figure out how they get there in the

first place or how to get rid of them once they appear.

How can I fix this?

In order to help you effectively we need to know exactly what email system you are using.  You can see the differences here

Hi,

I think you mean the mail app under Windows store, I had to admit that this application is designed for convenience usage, it has not much settings for this program. All settings could be adjusted is in charm bar->settings->options.

The people under folders seems like the favorite list for contacts, if you dont want names showing up, I guess we could click people and un-flag these names from contacts. If you need better user experience, we suggest you use desktop version outlook.

It is important to note that questions regarding the use and configuration of Windows Store apps, including built-in apps like Mail and Calendar, belong in the Windows Store Forum at Microsoft Community.
