In the left pane navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager.In the right pane double-click BootExecute and change the value from something like ‘autocheck autochk * /p \??\C:’ to ‘autocheck autochk *’ (not the quotation marks).Create a System Restore point before making any changes.
