CHKDSK @STARTUP
Hi,How do I get rid of the chkdsk process everytime I turn on my XP PC? Please help.Thanks,1 person needs an answerI do too

1. This often works, open a Run window (Windows Logo key+R), type cmd and press Enter, now type CHKNTFS /D (the capitals are for clarity only) and press Enter.2. Alternatively, go to a Run window (Windows Logo key+R), type regedit and press Enter. In the left pane navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager.In the right pane double-click BootExecute and change the value from something like ‘autocheck autochk * /p \??\C:’ to ‘autocheck autochk *’ (not the quotation marks).Create a System Restore point before making any changes.
