I am using a Compaq Presario V5000 with SP3;in the Task Manager I notice under the Process tab the ones using the most CPU is AVP.exe (anti Virus) which is 3 and System Idle Process at 88.Under the Performance tab the CPU is running at low of 33 high of 99.Totals Physical Memory (K) Commit Change (K) Kernel Memory (K)handles 7386 total 391344 total 234296 total 42100threads 353 available 226916 limit 937312 paged 27632process 25 system cache 37424 peak 675060 nonpaged 14468If I open a program CPU gets to 100% and just sit there.
